Takilma community association

The Takilma Community Association (TCA) was formed in 1973 to benefit the community.

Takilma, Oregon is located in the Illinois River Valley in Southwest Oregon. We hold real and other property in trust and provide affordable rental premises for local organizations, businesses and individuals that benefit the community.
We provide forums to further discussions of important matters and strive to reach consensus on matters of common interest. We promote and assist other non-profit organizations that provide charitable public benefits to the citizens of our area.

Takilma Community Association Highlights

Community Land

The TCA owns 19 acres within Takilma, to protect and hold in trust for the use of the community. These lands are comprised of open meadows and oak woodlands.

TCA Building

We also own the TCA Building which was built in the 1950’s, (formerly known as the Alcorn House). The TCA was instrumental in the formation of the Takilma Peoples Clinic in 1973, a community-supported and run health care center, which in the 1990’s became the Siskiyou Community Health Center. We strive to provide rental spaces for essential and accessible services to local residents. The building is currently occupied by two health practitioners and a community attorney.

Emergency Preparedness

Currently the TCA is working to educate and assist the community in emergency
preparedness, mostly around wildfire concerns.
